Roy M. Henshaw, MBA, CPA
Roy, President of Mathias, Barnes & Henshaw P.C., has a broad base of business and accounting experience and has been a partner since 1981. Roy received his MBA from Western New England College and is a graduate of Bentley College (Bachelor of Science in Accounting). He is a member of the American Institute of CPA's, Mass Society of CPA's, Mass Association of Independent Public Accountants, National Society of Public Accountants, and National Association of Tax Practitioners.
Karen DeFronzo Cross, CPA, MST
Karen has acquired over 11 years experience working in public and private accounting providing tax and accounting services to a variety of industries. Karen, a graduate of Merrimack College, is currently pursuing a Master of Taxation at Bentley College. She is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Massachusetts Society of CPA's. Mathias, Barnes & Henshaw is proud to announce that Karen passed the CPA exam on her first attempt.
Gwen Heghinian, E.A.
Gwen Heghinian has over 20 years of experience in business development and operations, organizational development and human resources.
Prior to joining Mathias, Barnes & Henshaw, P.C., Gwen has served at the management level for several major national and international companies in the telecommunications and retail industries. She has significant experience in the development and delivering of high gross margin strategies for the retail industry. She has built human resources programs that include: Organizational Development, Employee Development and Training, Performance Assessment Programs, Employee and Executive Compensation, Human Resources and Corporate Compliance, and HRIS implementation.
Gwen is currently pursuing becoming an Enrolled Agent. She achieved her PHR in human resources in 2001 and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is also a member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners. She is a graduate of Bentley College.
Lillian Kneeland
Lillian, a graduate of Northeastern University, has over twenty five years experience in providing accounting and tax services and concentrates on assisting our startup companies in developing and implementing accounting systems and personnel.
